Working with me
Different reasons for coming. The same careful attention.
Sessions are individual, calm and unhurried, in Cascais or online. Below are the areas people most often come with; if you are not sure where you fit, simply ask me.
Pain & Movement

People often come to me with somewhere specific that hurts: the lower back, the neck, a shoulder, a knee. We start there, but we rarely stay there.
I look at how the whole body is organising itself around that area: what has stopped participating in movement, what is working too hard, and how weight, breath and attention are distributed.
I do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and I make no promises. What I offer is careful attention and the possibility of moving with less unnecessary effort.
- Pain and recurring discomfort
- Stiffness and restricted movement
- Back pain
- Neck and shoulder tension
- Knee difficulties
- Posture
- Balance
Injury & Recovery

This work sits alongside physiotherapy, rehabilitation, strength training and personal training rather than replacing any of them.
Take the knee. After an injury or surgery, people usually change how they move: they load the other leg, turn from the lower back, hold the hip, shorten a step. Long after the joint itself has settled, those adaptations remain.
Together we explore those adaptations and the mobility and coordination of the whole body, while you continue whatever rehabilitation your clinicians have advised.
- Movement after injury
- Movement after surgery
- Complementing physiotherapy
- Complementing strength work
- Returning to activity
Sports & Performance

Athletes, dancers, musicians and performers usually do not need more effort. They need less interference.
We work on coordination, timing, balance and precision, and on the difference between the dominant and non-dominant side, so that skill can be expressed with less strain.
This is complementary to sport-specific training and coaching, not a substitute for it.
- Coordination and balance
- Movement efficiency
- Precision
- Reducing unnecessary effort
- Dominant and non-dominant sides
- Performance after injury
- Refining an existing skill
Children & Development

With babies and young children the work is playful, quiet and led by the child. I watch how movement is developing and offer gentle possibilities rather than exercises.
Parents are usually part of the session, learning how to support their child's movement at home.
I have professional experience with children who have developmental differences, including autism and cerebral palsy. This is experience in movement and development, not medical treatment.
- Babies and young children
- Movement development
- Posture and coordination
- Body awareness and confidence
- Developmental differences
- Montessori background
“Watching Naomi work with my son felt like witnessing magic.”
We initially came because of his slightly rounded shoulders, but what we gained was so much more than improved posture. After a few sessions, he stood taller, carried himself with confidence, and seemed more comfortable in his own body. Naomi has a unique ability to connect with children, helping them feel capable and proud of themselves.
Awareness & Everyday Life

You do not need pain or an injury to work with me. Many people come simply because they want to move well, sit comfortably, breathe more freely and understand their own habits.
This is often where the work is most enjoyable: nothing to repair, only possibilities to discover.
- Sitting and working with more ease
- Breathing and effort
- Balance and mobility over time
- Everyday movement quality
- Curiosity about your own patterns
